Austria 2026 3 euro colour collector coin glowing in UV light – Hippocampus.

This is the second coin in the ‘Fantastic mythical creatures’ series.

The coin’s obverse depicts a colour-printed hippocampus standing on its front legs with a shimmering bluish fish tail, with seaweed and coral to its left and a golden crown and ornamentation below. A band of gold runs around the coin’s edge. When lit with UV light the colourful hippocampus appears to leap from the coin.
The reverse of the coin shows an intricately decorated key with the letter ‘F’ representing the first letter of the name of the coin series – ‘Fantastic mythical creatures’. Stars shimmer all around it and the irregularly shaped letters look as if they have sprung from a magical world.
